German Sci fi. Funny retro 70s robots. Seems to be going somewhere but... No Stupid ending.

What? Unification, sporting glory, economic heyday, VW fiddled emissions, political complacency, internal dissent and eventual breakup into hostile regional states?

Sadly not. Just characters acting weird, unnecessary plot elements that don't make sense introduced late and not really used, loose ends just never mentioned, and a lack of an expected explosion.

'The Matrix' - good stylish nonsense.

And that was the first time I'd seen it.  :bowler:

Just don't ruin it by watching any of the sequels.

Yep, words from the wise.

I've heard as much as well from others.

Tonight it's another new one for me, 'Gladiator'.

By now, even a 45-year old movie should have been seen by the likes of you. :P

Has anyone watched the Netflix series of Hundred Years of Solitude?

He's working his way up to Jaws.  Then he'll only be 50 years behind.  :P

I wish I could watch The Matrix, or The Godfather, for the first time.

Maybe 4-5 years ago, I sat down and watched The Big Lebowski.  I'd never seen it before.  And when you say that movies can be let down by the hype and build up?  Big Lebowski did not disappoint.

In a few decades when you get to total recall don't make the mistake of watching the remake.

Alternatively I've already watched all of those, but senility is already trashing my memory?  :P

Good grief, why did they do that.
