Ben Kingsley. There's nothing more terrifying or dangerous than rage distilled into a small man.

Dominique de Villepin once said "Méfiez vous des hommes petits. Ils sont hargneux et méchants."

Supposedly about a book he was writing on Bonaparte, but everybody knew he was talking about Sarkozy. :frog:

Ironic that even some of the French have bought into the British lie about Napoleon being short.

I'm looking for horror movie soundtrack suggestions. I'm trying to write one and I like to make an accompanying playlist for each of my projects, to put me in the mood.

I'm looking for atmospheric fare. And no synth stuff, which I know takes 90% of the best stuff off the table but it's not the mood I'm looking for.

So far I've got.

- The Shining (the orchestral bits) - and also the Ligetti stuff from 2001, Kubrick was great at picking creepy contemporary orchestral music.
- Midsommar
- Psycho

Not a long list, so I need help  :P
No suggestion to offer soundtrack wise, however, what you're looking for in called atmospheric scandinavian black metal ;)Stuff like this, imho:

In your case, without the singing.

Kingsley playing mean nasty people is something I feel he should've done more often in his career. He's a delight in that movie.
He is - it's a great performance. I think he said he based it on his grandmother

Goddamn, you just blew up my mind. Yes, he's playing an angry grandma

Finished the expanse.
Wonder why they told that weird alien sub story if they knew they were finishing (and went at a break neck pace with inaros to do so). Fingers crossed for a film.
Or an adaptation of the later novels for people who don't want to read the first ones but have seen the series.

Also, the French pouce was larger than the British inch.

So you're saying that napoleon was a big pouce?
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Valmy

Current French leaders, Hollande and Sarkozy and Macron, have all been Napoleon's height so clearly we are not that much taller.

Yeah, it was probably something that would have been developed in the next season, but when that was cut they didn't want to spend the money to redo the script and shot more scenes.  Really terrible way to end what had been a very good sci-fi series.

Highlander gets a remake. Henry Cavill will play Connor McLeod (previously Christopher Lambert). Chad Stahelski (John Wick) will be directing.

Well, at least Henry gets to keep working on those sword skills and earns some money for more Warhammer miniatures. :P

I love Highlander and actually quite like this idea - John Wick was very fun.

Henry Cavill will now have played Superman, Geralt of Rivia, and Connor McLeod.
