Admiral Yi

Watching The Hand of God.  Neapolitan family during the arrival of Marradonna.

It's a perfect Euro movie.  No real plot, lots of odd looking people being colorful and eccentric.

I have faith in St. Denis.
I too, but only if Montjoie is with him. ;)

Trailer for The Northman, Robert Eggers' (The Witch, The Lighthouse) latest film, this time a Viking era epic story, with quite the cast (Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe).

I sure hope that isn't one of those things were there is about 4 minutes of awesomeness in the movie, and it is all in the trailer.

Because that looks incredible.

Even if this one seems to be a more "conventional" kind of film, I don't think that Eggers can be blamed of being a lightweight director, so I'd hope that there'll be plenty of weirdness and artsy fartsy parts of the story that are not in the trailer. Maybe those two minutes are the more "comercial" ones and the rest of the film is much more weird/artsy fartsy.

FunkMonk

The artsy fartsy parts are the best parts of his films  :bowler:
Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.

The Brain

Finished S3 of Succession. It's a very good show.

I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

Summer of Sam. Man cheats on Mira Sorvino. Not as good as 25th Hour.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Not as good as The Godfather either, but why the comparison?  :hmm:
