The Tomorrow War on Prime.  Lots of great action and special effects - no money left over to pay writers.
For some reason, with 30 years notice the world is still caught by surprise and the future cannot be changed.  But putting that aside, when our hero returns from the future with the thing that will kill the unkillable future foe the official in charge of US defence says he cannot spend tax payor dollars on a mission to kill the foe in the present and eliminate the future disaster.  I wonder if some underpaid writer slipped that in knowing nobody would pay attention to the dialogue in order to make a statement on screwed up spending priorities :D
Forever- Series on amazon prime I completely failed to notice the existence of. Kind of a sitcom. Stars the judge from the Good Place and the cannibal from the Last Man on Earth. Its nice. Pretty low key. Interesting twist.
contract dispute. she went to work on becker with ted danson after. of all the characters she would be the replaceable one, what with the symbiote
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Yeah,
her death screamed "contract dispute" to me as soon as it happened. Such a throwaway way to kill her off.
The new
Dax is cute, but doesn't hold a candle to Jadzia.
I don't know if a spoiler tag is necessary for the character of Ezri.

Don't sell her short - she's an interesting character in her own right, and puts a more "real" spin on what being a symbiant host would be like.

I can see what you mean. My main issue with Jadzia is that her character was immensely likeable, but at the same time it didn't feel like a good representation of somebody with a symbiont that has memories of multiple personalities.

Josquius

Didn't make sense she would be based at DS9 with all the rules of past attachments et al.

you can hand wave it away with jadzia having had years of training and passed evaluations. plus having the symbiote for a while. Ezri was a last minute host so has more issues with the symbiote.

I didn't hate Jadzia but I also never liked her much. It's been years since I last watched, but I felt she was a bit too perfect (her occasional arrogance notwithstanding :P ), while Ezri is completely adorkable (a trope I like in female characters -_- )
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Sounds about right.
Jedzia was "yes I'm a hot woman but it's super understated and also I can do anything as I've a dozen lifetimes at my finger tips. I'm the captains old best friend and mentor despite him being my dad's age"
Ezri was pretty relatable actually. Which was quite nice to throw in at the end of the series. Adorkable is also great.

The baseball episode - I don't care for baseball, but "bunch of misfits have to beat the jocks" is one of my favorite sports movie tropes

Hilarious episode.
