Regardless, it's a poor choice.

Jupiter's Legacy was quite good, ended on a cliff hanger and has been cancelled.
Netflix does this way too often

I gave up half way through ep 2. Thought the concept was interesting but the dialogue around the family dynamics was dull and cliched and the acting poor.

One episode's length more than me and your analysis captures my feelings about the show.

New girl is.... Meh. It has its moments. I like how they had to give zooey a literal lingerie model for a friend so she could be the ugly one.
Some episodes are good but there is a lot of dross and it overall just wears thin quickly.

Manic Pixie Girl is going out of style now, so New Girl is a bit dated.
PDH!

So Disney+ is is finally delivering what fans have been yearning for since 1989 - a Turner & Hootch series.

Yesterday- I had totally forgot this film existed and never seen it before. Its really pretty good. Its a take on the old series 'Goodnight Sweetheart' that only I seem to remember, in this show a guy from the modern day (well, the 90s) found a portal back to WW2 and once there he spent a lot of time in a pub playing modern songs before they're invented, particularly the Beatles, and having everyone thinking he's awesome.

Anyway. This film is like that but not. Struggling musician is in a bike crash and suddenly The Beatles are erased from history. He rewrites their music. Jackpot. Some pretty funny musical jokes in there, like as he is realising what is happening he tries to google The Beatles and finds nothing, he checks up on various other musicians to see they're still existing...finds most are, but not Oasis. As no Beatles means no Oasis. Duh.

And reading up production it seems it was originally going to be a better and more realistic affair where the guy isn't successful with the beatles music. I like that.

What's next? A Disney crap+ version of Top Dog with Chuck Norris?

Yesterday, by Danny Boyle. Watched it at the weekend. Ridiculous premise but fun film.

Finished the first season of DS9 (just the selected episodes from mashable's guide). It is indeed rather meh, but there's the odd high point. The episode with the Cardassian war criminal was quite good.

The main cast isn't quite gelling for me yet, but the show does pick up some pretty solid episodic actors (like the aforementioned war criminal and Jonathan Banks in the one about the eternal war between undying factions).

Admiral Yi

My favorite part of DS9 was the short haired chick with the nose ridges.

Watched the first episode of Loki. It had some fun moments but it felt a bit flat/slow. Then again, it's a set-up episode so I'll cut it some slack. Hiddleston is as entertaining as ever and Wilson is good, too.

I'm starting to feel that the "supernatural enviromnent as 1950s office building" thing is played out.

Has Downtown Abbey been on Netflix before?  Watching now.

The first one, anyway. Jadzia was freaking hot- Ezri was freaking annoying. And I'unno- I certainly had a soft spot for Kira.
