I figured that out after the synopsis.

Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Dr Who, Lost(though it didn't reveal its absurdity til later) are all quality shows in spite of being unbelievable. I could have looked past the absurdity of the "electricity stops working(for most people)" scenario. It's the network family drama vibe that turned me off.

Its not the unbelievability, its the gerneral crappy soundingness.

I watched Green Lantern when it was on the local Canadian movie channel.

That movie really wasn't very good.
