Isn't Toronto used a lot as "New York"? Which made the episode of Strange New World funny when Kirk says, "Are we in New York?" and La'an basically says, "No, this is Toronto, duh!"

Due South was set in Chicago but filmed in Toronto. In one episode they travel to Toronto.... and filmed those scenes in Chicago

Darth Wagtaros

First episode of Shmigadoon!.  Was good.

Quote from: crazy canuck on May 05, 2026, 07:02:25 AMYes, but like Jacob, I notice the Vancouver landmarks that show up on the screen, so it's more jarring.

Loved those mountains in Rumble in the "Bronx"

Yeah, I didn't realize the Catskills were visible from the Bronx like that.

Tonitrus

My favorite "out of place" film/location mismatch is still The Comencharos (John Wayne film) where the area of Texas between Galveston and Louisiana apparently looks like Monument Valley.
