I wonder if they are going to add the Hapsburg Jaw deformities to the actors with CGI ...

Not me in the picture.

I haven't posted many pictures here, just because this forum pretty much sucks for posting pics.

What kind of sailing do you do with her?  I'm going to assume you're out on Lake Ontario.  Ever do any multi-day trips, or is it just too tight for that?  Oh - does it have a motor?  I don't see one on the schematics, but based on the picture it appears to be under way with no sails up, so...

I've looked - there is a sailing club west of Edmonton, at a place called Wabamun Lake.  It's 11 mi wide and 4 miles narrow.  I mean I'm sure you could learn to sale there but not sure it'd be worthwhile unless you somehow thought you could do more exciting sailing somewhere else eventually.

I am based out of the Newport Yacht Club, which is on Irondequoit Bay, which is on Lake Ontario.

I did one overnight trip last summer. I would definitely like to do more of those.

It has a little 9HP Yanmar diesel engine.

My dad had a sailboat too (looks very similar to yours, probably made near the same year, nearly the same size, 25-footer ) when I was growing up.  And back home in Washington state, just outside Seattle, it was moored at...the Newport Yacht Club.  :P

Was that not mostly bred out by that time?
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Yeah I thought that was mostly in the Spanish Hapsburgs, and by the 19th century they were doing a better job at thinking about hereditry.

Er, maybe not - checking out Franz Joseph (where I can find a pic without him having big muttonchops) had a pronounced chin, though not to the same extent as earlier generations.

could you, theoritically, sail down the St-Lawrence river with it, or are the channels reserved for bigger ships?

Sure you could. You would definitely want to stay out of the shipping lane, of course. But you could.
nice :)

Come visit next summer, I'll find you a nice marina along the south shore of the St-Lawrence :P

Where are you?

That was a Spanish Habsburg thing. But even if it were not, those 19th century beards would cover it up anyway.

About 150km South-east of Quebec city.  There's a marina in another village, 20 min (west) from where I live.  Actually, there's a dock closer than that, but I don't think it's open for private boats, it is used by small cruise ships to visit nearby uninhabited islands.

That's gotta be a few days travel from Rochester by sail :)
