Oh man.

Just watched The Neverending Story with the kids.

They enjoyed it.  And it hit all kinds of emotional/nostalgic points with me.  I watched that movie dozens of times as a kid, but haven't seen it in 30+ years.

When I first saw that movie as a kid it was quite a fun fantasy story. Must have been great watching it with your kids! :)

The Brain

Watched The Luminaries. A bit too convoluted for my taste.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Threviel

In the middle of season 5 of the Expanse.
I find the story line about the military "radars" able to see through stealth composites only aimed at Mars to be weird. Presumably stealth coated missiles of any kind could be sent from any angle towards earth by Mars, it's been established in previous seasons that Martian stealth "ICBM Silos" are placed in secret locations all around the system. Any kind of defense against that would presumably have to keep an eye out towards all directions. Also stealth coated asteroids is such an obvious line of attack that it should have been prepared for.
How did they deal with the horse scene?

So I'm re-watching season 1 of Spiral. I watched this the year it come out and thought it was outstanding (I was a lone Francophile facing everyone raving about Nordic noir <_< :frog:).

I now understand the final season has just finished (all on the BBC) so going to work my way through.

It is grim though :o

First episode of Knightfall. In this alternate reality the Templars don't worship Bahomet and eat da poo poo. I like that they've made some attempts to recreate actual historical locations. I don't know if I'll watch more though, not a lot of naked stuff.

You're watching Netflix, not HBO.

So, HBO published the most watched shows of January 2021 in Spain, and at #4... Game of Thrones. It's been consistently in the Top10 since it finished. Certainly can't blame them from trying to milk Westeros as much as they can.
