Have heard my geordie friends use "innit" plenty. Doesn't seem too unique.

Yeah definitely not as common slang here in London.

I'm not sure what we're working on

But "innit" is super common in the UK. It's in cockney or multicultural London, Essex, country-side, estuary English, Scouse, Manc.

It doesn't necessarily mean anything specific - just thinking in the way you'll hear it it's more like grammar than a specific meaning. Like it can just mean this is a question, or it can be used to agree, or it can be used for sort of emphasis.

"Come you here?"
Yeah more distinctive but I'm not 100% sure if it is totally unique. Bristolian has that sort of structure "where you to?" for where are you.

As I say Suffolk friends are very happy with Fiennes performance - he nails it. This must come up in say the American South where there's a particular specific accent that to outsiders might just sound generic "Southern" (just like Suffolk is generic "country"), so it's notable when someone actually gets it right - especially for the locals?

Specifically as a replacement for "doesn' it," as in "Five Guys cook their fries peanut oil, innit?"

I've watched the first three minutes because of the MASSIVE LANGUISH BUZZ.

Alrightish.

Does anyone else think Netflix movies have a tendency to be padded out with a lot of moody musical filler?

Tonitrus

With Netflix productions, I mostly notice the massively obtrusive product/brand placement.

Admiral Yi

Huh.  Never noticed that.

Huh.  Never noticed that.

The Cobra Kai episode on Okinawa is a prime example.

Yeah that was bad - what are all these American stores and businesses doing in Okinawa anyways?

Lots of prominent shots of vehicle logos too - Audi in particular.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Would be a bit more difficult to fit in relevant product placement in The Dig, though - given that it takes place in England right before WW2.
