Friends watched it last Wednesday over here.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

He sells sea thells by the Sea Thor?
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Heyerdahls complete works need to be burned and his memory wiped from the slates of history. Useless cunt, the fucking Erik von Dänicke of sailors.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

I must confess his blaming of the Evil Portuguese trader/slavers for the extinction of the Nordic Greenland colony cracks me up.

I don't know, haven't seen the movie yet.

Darling Wa Gaikokujin - Japanese film about a manga artist whose boyfriend is an American and the general weirdness of foreigners. Quite good and amusing despite being a bit of a chick flick and a lot of the jokes being linguistic and way over my head.

I find myself in agreement. Archeology? Not really. He would have been right at home in the Ahnenerbe if the Germans had won the war.

Is that "his" theory?  I know I've read it elsewhere.

Isn't it pretty obvious that the Greenlanders all either starved to death, died of disease, or were wiped out by the Inuit?  I don't know why people would assume it was any other outcome... there seems to be ample evidence of theories a, b, and c.

Perhaps he's only most famous to have stated it then. Haven't we already discussed that before anyways?
