First episode of Spartacus - Pixelblood and Sand Tits

Dear lord was that silly; and I doubt it had an original thought anywhere in its script. (Though Netflix seems to have the uncensored version, it isn't the extended blu ray version.)

Aye, I liked Spartacus quite a bit. Once you get past the tits and blood (which are nice pluses) there's an actual compelling story in there.

CountDeMoney

Barf, it sucked.  It was violence porn.

Was any of those Borgia shows good?

Good enough for me. Though this could easily have been a Conan the Barbarian origin story with minor changes, and it has a strong video game look to it.

The one with Jeremy Irons was quite good.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

Agreed.  It had a good story arc throughout.

Yeah, the whole "300" violence porn gets a bit silly and exploitative, but the whole Roman intrigue angle and the relationship between master and slaves is quite engaging, imho.

They change that up a lot as the story goes along.  The first few episodes are a terrible 300 ripoff, but then the show comes into it's own and really thrives.

I indeed would like to see more John Hannah.

Don't worry about that; he's central to the plot and one of the best characters in the show.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Funniest Netflix comedy yet, and BoJack Horseman wasn't not funny.

Pity you didn't like Whiplash.

Honestly, what was there to like?  I apologize if you reviewed it already, I haven't skimmed back; but the few professional positive reviews I read were really pretty vague in what made this a good movie...
