The Grand Budapest Hotel was indeed awesome. One of the few movies I've seen twice in the theatres during its initial run - saw it with some friends, then insisted my wife see it also (she loved it).

I am now wishing I saw it in the theatres.  Some of those scenes would have been great up on the big screen.

It's a Wes Anderson film.  Your local art house will bring it back.

Agreed that Skulls is not as awful as people claim. Soviets make for decent villains. Its major misstep is the CGI jungle chase (the monkeys! :bleeing: ), but I guess a stupid looking CGI set piece can't be avoided with Lucas these days.

Also, it's introducing two characters (Oxley and Mack) that you're supposed to care about, but they get too little screen time for that. It would have been awesome to have Jones Sr. instead of Oxley (I think it was originally intended that way?), and maybe replace Mack with Sallah (or Short Round?) to raise the impact of the betrayal for the fans. Hell, with Shortie you could even go and cast a completely new actor and have a quasi-buddy or rival thing with Mutt.

That's actually a really solid idea.

Budapest is Anderson's best film and certainly my favorite of the year, and I saw Birdman a couple weeks ago.

I like Life Aquatic the best, but it's in his top 3. :)

Birdman is my no. 7 iirc.

I didn't mention I saw The Theory of Everything. 'Sallright.

With fond memories of the cute, funny blonde, I tried to rewatch Zack and Miri make a porno.  Dreadfully unfunny.  Blonde is still cute though.

It's Elizabeth Banks.  She's the woman with the cool clothes from The Hunger Games franchise, and one of the few characters who don't suck, although this is based principally on her costuming.

She was also Wyldstyle in The LEGO Movie, and she was very funny, though not as funny as Alison Brie as Unikitty.

She is also hot.

And she had John Dorian's baby.

I've never watched Hunger Games.

Don't think I dare after the way Boner bit my head off for watching Twilight. :weep:

She was also captured by North Korea.

it's not as bad as Twilight.
It lacks originality for having been done so often (Battle Royale has becomne sort of cliché), but it ain't so bad.
