Regarding Bond, Casino Royale is one of my favorite Bond films ever, but in general Craig's Bond is way too emo and self-searching, which kinda doesn't fit the character at all. I think Brosnan had all the Bond-isms down while not being dismissable as pure comedy like Roger Moore did. I think there's a balance.

I love Casino Royale and I like the Craig films. They're just not really what I want out of a Bond film. As I say for me it's like Batman. I prefer Burton to Nolan by some distance.

Funniest thing is the writers of the Brosnan movies are the same ones as the Craig ones - there's probably lots of credited and uncredited rewrites that explain part of the difference, but it's a fun weird fact given how vastly different both series are in style.
