Wear a suit and put everyone else to shame. The increasing casual-ness of society has to stop.
" SIR – I must commend you on some of your recent obituaries. I was delighted to read of the deaths of Foday Sankoh (August 9th), and Uday and Qusay Hussein (July 26th). Do you take requests? "

I'm at work wearing khaki pants, t-shirt, tennis shoes.

If I am not sure what to expect, I'll just wear a suit, and put the tie in my pocket.  If I need to wear a tie, I can.  If I need to take the jacket off, I can.

Being a mostly uniform guy, I don't even own clothes that would qualify for regular business casual.

Though I've been told that a well-kept set of jeans count for "Alaska business casual".   :P

As long as you have carhartt jacket to go with it.

Why? Its not like wearing a suit makes you more professional and being uncomfortable is not good for production.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

If it is 85 degrees and there is no air circulation int he room it is.  WTF.  Imagine poor Jaron during his years of servitude in Jack in the Box, in a three piece suit.
PDH!

It might be personal preference but people will be more comfortable when not dressed up like they are going to a damn funeral.

Btw, I have this suit coat I got at the Barney's warehouse sale. It not only feels great to wear but makes me look dashing.

I'm wearing this t-shirt to work today:

We don't realy have any strict dress code at the office, so I usually get by wearing black jeans or slacks, plus either t-shirt or (untucked) shirt, plus normal street shoes.

We have one guy woh shows up every day in suit and tie, but he feels comfortable that way. When we occasionally go to the pub after work or maybe go catch a movie with a few colleagues we have to force him to remove the tie.

I caused some confusion these past two days because I wore khaki slacks, polo shirt and a sports coat. I like to do that sometimes to throw people off.
