What I got from MegaPath was that it was an AT&T fuckup with my circuit.  Seems they fixed whatever the problem was late this morning.

OK it was definitely down for like two days this time, right?

Yes.  AT&T tech repaired a damaged cable leading in to my interface box.

You need a failover server at a secure facility, bro. :)

Oh, bullshit.
Whenever he goes away for the weekend with his little pussy partner, he keeps forgetting the server is plugged into the wall socket the light switch turns off when he leaves, fucking up the weekend for everybody while he's out getting laid.

I figured a T1 circuit with 99.9% availability would be good enough for a moderate-traffic message board. :P

I am restarting plans to colo the server at a local datacenter, though.  Then I can have it in a four-9's environment, and do reciprocal offsite backups.

I was actually gone for two weeks, and I freaked the fuck out when I got down to Florida and the circuit was dead.

Nope.

Actually, at the time, the redirect from "www.languish.org" was taking a really long time.  No problems navigating in-site or lag when connecting with direct URL, though.
