  • Only a pawn in their game - Dylan (those old 60s tunes are pretty fucking upset, but in a laidback kind of way)

Cheers darlin' - Damien Rice (never heard anybody do the "you fucking hurt me" better than Damien Rice)

I want you - Elvis Costello (except this one, may be the world's most vitriolic breakup songs to date)

How you remind me - Nickelback (I have no idea what he's singing about, but he sounds pretty mad)

For a generally meanspirited nature I recommend Midnight Oil up till around Beds are burning. The Dead Heart from that album is tense, but I think they lost some of their energy after that.

I listened to Offspring a lot in 1995, they sounded pretty angry back then.

Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen, and keep your eyes wide the chance won't come again; but don't speak too soon for the wheel's still in spin, and there's no telling who that it's naming. For the loser now will be later to win, cause the times they are a-changin'. -- B Dylan
