So how did they get your bank account info? 

At any rate, some banks (even non-bank entities like Paypal) have a cool feature, where if you have a credit or debit card with them, they'll set you up with temporary card numbers that are one-time use only.  So if you absolutely have to buy something from a less-secure site, that card info is useless if it is ever compromised.
