This thread depresses me as I realize that with the baby coming we won't actually be going anywhere interesting for the summer.  We've taken some pretty good summer vacations for the last 5 years or so...

Korea, I have a suggestion: Do not go on vacation with your sister.

But I love my sister and love going on vacations with her. This year we just can't seem to be able to agree on a place. I was told by her that Destin is full of drunk college kids. Not sure how true that is. I haven't vacationed anywhere except hilton head, sc and atlanta, ga so I don't actually know that much about good vacation spots.

Pensacola has nice white sand beaches and is closer to Nawlins than Destin.  Plus you get the Bue Angels!  And a fort!

I was looking at Pensacola. I don't even want to go to New Orleans though. Wtf does New Orleans even have?

Destin is full of drunk college kids around the Spring Break season, but I don't think it is in the summer.  I haven't been down there yet but a co-worker goes these every summer in August and loves it.

New Orleans is worth a trip if you're into history, really outstanding cuisine, and drinking on the street (where it's legal).  I liked it but it's nothing phenomenal.

Actually, once a kid hits one, you can leave them with family for 4-5 days while you run off somewhere.
