No way that is real.

yes.
No. We may wish that it was, but it hasn't been real the last twenty or thirty times Marti has ragequit the forum, so I see no reason to believe it is real this time.

Of course it is.  It just sounds silly when you actually look at it, and this is Languish, so...
True.
I wonder if this usage is actually in the dictionary or if the High Guardians of the Tongue still see it as heresy despite it having been around for eons.

I was talking about Gary Busey.

Depends on the definition of "then" in the context, I guess.

In swedish, we have the same expression "Nu då" but "then" is not used in its chronological definition in that case.

I'm actually not certain how to translate it other than "now then".

One of my coworkers saw Gary Busey in the airport once and tried to get his autograph and he was like "Go fuck yourself." :o

Do you mean "nu då?"? Or a variant of ever popular "nu dårå" as nonsense filler phrase?

"Nu då"

How does one accurately describe the meaning of "då" when it is not used to describe a moment in time but rather perhaps a request.

You want the technical term? Dunno.

Heh, heard similar stuff about Busey. For instance, a waitress being interviewed on the street by Jay Leno said she had waited on Busey and he made her cry.

Not only does he come across as an asshole, from interviews I've seen with him he also seems just flat-out crazy.  IIRC he crashed his motorcycle once, so maybe he got brain damage from that.
