BTW, just curious, why is that libertarians seem to pollute the Internet in proportion that is way, way higher than in general population?  And I'm not talking about pseudo-libertarians who are really Republicans, I'm talking about real libertarians that are into Austrian economics and nonsense like that.  Are those types attracted to the Internet, or does the Internet infect people who are highly vulnerable to be taken in by some cult?

It's a little bit of both, plus it's an ideology that lends itself great to trolling so many people who are not extreme in real life adopt it for the purpose of internet flamewars. It's like Aspergers, Byzantine Fanboism or Nietzsche. It has things like "antisocial", "solipsist", "special", "immature" and "not-thought-through" written all over it. I think internet is a medium in its "teen years", culturally speaking, and sympathies of its users reflect it (even if the said users may be way past being teenagers in real life).

Well I am willing to concede this to Marty, however the counter-crowd is no better either. Look at just Marty's post: libertarianism does not equal anarcho-capitalism, so don't act like it does.

Ok this is just plain stupid though. You may be in your teen years culturally, but the Internet certainly isn't, and most its users by plain numbers are people who use it to check e-mails, Facebook, and MSN, and not to read rich lawyers and Swedes defend the merits of socialism.

I have to say that chewing one's ass in public as a moderator, and then saying that you can't reply to that in public, is poor form.  The fact that the moderator in question is not impartial, and has a reputation for being highly deranged on occasion, is also not right.  Oh, well, there is a reason a bunch of us are here and not there.

This.

I've been treated in the same fashion by other mods on the EU fora aswell, so it's not just Stonewall.

Very infuriating to be attacked and not allowed to defend yourself, even pathetically like Miglia does. But I think you have to realize that it's their playground and like sullen little children they don't want any backtalking when they make a decree.

Edit: And I just noticed Mig's PatMaster which puts everything into perspective. I'm sorry, Mig, it's not right of me to go ass-to-mouth on you like that and if I'd known who I was talking to I would've worded myself differently. I try not to prey on the weak and the infirm. You people are fucked enough as is.

Neil

Stonewall's a EUOT mod?

Wow, I thought that being a defence lawyer was low, but an EUOT mod?  That's just terrible.  Especially these days.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Yes, home of great artists.

This is Titanic's cover this month (following in the wake of Germany's national team goalkeeper committing suicide over depressions):
Well, I hope they have fun in prison.

I get a monthly ban from the EUOT followed invariably by an admin that deletes some more infraction points from my account in order to allow me to get banned again after a week...  :lmfao: Pat, as an old member, you should know that the new Paradox is aiming for a younger crowd. Let things go as planned and die with honour...

They have a cover with Hitler every couple months. No one cares.

Wait, is this thread important or what?

I'm still trying to decide to post in it or not.

Me too, needs more anti-marty references first I think.
