My opinion on the film is as follows:  It looks a little too intensely overdramatic for my taste.  The impression I get from the previews is that Maguire appears to have died, his brother moves in to take care of his wife, sexual tension ensues, and then Maguire comes back and flips right the fuck out.  That, coupled with my dislike for Jake Gyllenhal means that I will probably not see the movie.

That said, it's an interesting turn for Spider-Man, going from kind of a whiny wuss as Peter Parker to being a younger, skinhead version of the Sleeping With the Enemy guy.  And it's a little weird seeing Natalie Portman in such a normal movie.
