I'm definitely thinking about getting this game. I liked Sims 2 (never played the first one) and I like some of the improvements mention like the personal bars (potty, hunger, sleep, etc) filling faster and emptying slower.

Does anyone know the extra you get for buying the collectors edition?

I expect Princesca will be buying it.  She LOVED Sims 2.

I bought it, thought it was really cool, played it for 10 minutes.

I still think it's cool, but I am too engrossed with EU3 instead.

Haven't played much, either. I'm busy drawing maps.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Yeah, it's pretty fun. I don't like the fact that they want you to spend more dollars to get better clothes and furniture though. And I'm not super duper impressed with the character customization.
