Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I've heard some not good things about Tom Tom units.  Their routing is just not as good as competition.  Personally, IMO, you can't go wrong with Garmin Nuvi.

I want a car GPS, but I don't think it'd be that helpful up here.

Turn right at Alaska Highway.
Travel straight for 14 hours.

Korean GPS systems get television.
Everything in Korea gets television.

Have you seen the cell phones with TV?
Way better than iPhones. The US is so backwards when it comes to cell phone technology.

It looks like the Tom Tom I used this summer on my little trip down to the Panzer museum in Munster, Germany. Worked great, easy to use, no problems at all, despite being the first time I ever used a car GPS...

Could be worse, you could have the Canadian market.

That said, blame who ever had the idea for CDMA.

Haven't seen them up close, but I've seen random Koreans watching them.

You can get Mobile TV for the iPhone in Germany from T-Mobile. They show the national football league for example.

Oh, and for car navigation systems, the newest gimmick is this:

The navigation for the driver and TV for the passenger on the same screen at the same time.

Wife & I both have the lower-end TomTom GPS units & both work fine.  Only downside is that they're lacking in points of interest.
