So, what do you think of the proposed Disney - Marvel merger?  Stan Lee is optimistic, but financial analysts i've read don't seem too thrilled and think it's bad idea, marketing wise (Hulk, Thor and Spiderman on ice instead of the usual cast ;) ).

I think it's going to be good if Marvel remains a seperate entity within Disney.  IIRC, Pixar is a seperate studio owned by Disney, is it not?  So I don't really see what the problem is.

Of course, if we start seeing comics like "The Incredible Hulk VS Mickey Mouse", I might change my mind.  But I have some doubts that we'll see stuff like that ;)

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I'm going to be contrarian and say this merger is the greatest since Barnum & Bailey joined forces.

I've never gotten the assosiation of Marvel/DC with childhood (thats one REALLY rich kid...) but still its pretty bad,

I doubt Marvel will suffer creatively of course and my objections are purely objections to Disney the big evil corporation.

Maybe he's confused Marvel with Harvey Comics:

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

There were a lot of marvel cartoons back on the day.

Mickey felt a momentary pang of guilt as he thought about Minnie, but it vanished as She Hulk removed her uniform revealing her heaving green breasts.  "Take me.  Take me now," she groaned as she reached for the enormous yellow buttons of his shorts.

:lol:That's so, so, so, so wrong, almost worse than an Anne Frank slash.  :P

And regarding the Disney-Marvel thingie, I guess that they'll run separately, and won't afect the "artistic" part. It's mostly about reaping the big bucks from the movies, anyway.
