Two of my favorite actors, but Cox gets it.

"Dysthymia?  Did they get some student from the University of Chicago with a hard-on for ancient Bactrian cities to name this?  I feel cheated."

Monoriu

I think you meant Ian Holm.  If so, that's my pick, because I like Bilbo, and I don't know who the other guy is  ;D

Grey Fox

Damn, that's not an easy question. Altho, I have no idea what Ian Holm did in his life outside of LOTR so I voted for Cox.
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

I remember him mainly from Alien and Fifth Element.

Oh and I voted Holm

I just found the first thing I like more about this forum, you can view results and then go back and vote with this poll.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Damn, that's tough.  I might give it to Holm by an inch.

BTW:  Here's some actor-related news that blew my mind:  Harvey Keitel is going to be 70 years old in a couple of months.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Viking

Neither even comes remotely close to Brian Blessed

First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Meh. Blessed got tainted by being in Star Wars: Episode I. That had to have knocked a few coolness points away.
Experience bij!

Alatriste

But he was Caesar Augustus in 'I, Claudius'. Nothing beats being cool both with and without a beard.

Between Cox and Holm I vote Holm.

Syt

Ian Holm. Alien, LotR, From Hell, Oh! What a lovely War!, and many more.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

What's with the Anglophilia?

Derek Jacobi should have been on the list, but in his absence chose Holm.

Also: gay.
