I'm curious if anyone else is getting creeped out by the happenings of late. Physical assaults on Congressmen, teabaggers storming town hall meetings to avoid letting Congressmen talk to constituents and starting fights, while a plurality of the GOP believe Obama wasn't born in America.

WTF is going on?

The American people have had enough of the lies and backroom deals. They're standing up and speaking out. America will not go quietly down the road to socialist oblivion. Inspired by the brave people of Iran, Americans are shouting down the demagogues.

but is it really "The American People" or just the vocal fringe minority?  I know I have neither beat up a Congressman or teabagged anyone recently.

It's not like the right was the epitome of rationality when in power.

Fair point, but I thought it'd take a bit longer before they started hanging people in effigy.

I'm looking forward to Obama's "Silent Majority" speeches and nocturnal meetings with disgruntled GOPers at the Lincoln Memorial discussing college basketball.

I didn't.  It was clear that the right was primed for a major meltdown right from the start.

DontSayBanana

This meltdown has been 8 years in the making- things started going downhill right alongside the Twin Towers, so how could we expect anything less than a full-blown party-wide temper tantrum?

Yes, we are all insane & you should be very afraid :)

Not overly so; all that's happening is the right is shrinking to angry white men. But it's weird to watch in action.

I am concerned.  This kind of insanity bred in an echo chamber is extremely unhealthy.
