They make a lot of tv ads over here. No idea if they're any good, though. That said, additional languages are always a boon; however, I'd pick one you can use relatively frequently or plan to keep up (reading books/watching movies), because knowledge of languages can atrophy quickly (I barely remember enough of my French to order food and drink).

My sis bought the Japanese beginner CD of theirs several years ago. It looked to be useful.
One of the earliest sentences however was "the boy is under the table" Fucking perverted japs.
