Agreed. I could've been more explicit in my phrasing - when I said "taking care of you" I meant the non-medical type of care taking.

Yes, you are correct, and I misread the "term" in your post as "doula" rather than "end-of-life doula."  I've never heard of the latter either.

It is claimed that LSD signficantly reduces anxiety for people who are in hospice care.  Early studies suggest the claim is accurate, but more study is needed.  LSD is also being studied as a treatment for depression.  One area of study is whether the patient needs to trip for the treatment to be successful or whether micro doses will do the trick.

Interesting new area for mental health because if it all pans out treatments could be short in duration with long lasting effects, rather than the current model of long term drug use as the treatment.

So on my news feed today I see there's this Benadryl challenge on Tik-Tok.  You take a bunch of Benadryl and Tik-Tok it.  That's entertainment on social media; and then we have these idiots who are actually doing it.  What sort of crowd does this give you status with?  "I'm so hardcore I OD on anti-histamines."  What are you dangerous and allergy free?  Some kid killed himself doing it (and you know it's a "Himself," there's no sense in being coy and pretending it's a "Oneself" or "Themselves"; there's a reason why women live longer then men.)  There's the "Heartfelt concerns" and warnings from every corporation or government agency that could be held liable for his death, and Congress is talking about banning Tik-Tok but that's not going to work.  These idiots just going to find another platform that caters to morons (that's the definition of Social Media).  What we need is a real solution.  Congress needs to hire goons to slap the stupid out of anyone who takes part in a Tik-Tok challenge.  Videotape the beat downs and put it on pay-per-view.  It'll pay for itself in no time.
