Yeah, but it will probably a patch or two after release. :P

I think I may have gotten myself into a few too many wars. :hmm:

And I crashed - 10 years of progress gone (I was so foolish to disable autosaves -_- )

Disabled autosave on a Paradox game?! :o

Syt

I know. :weep: And I was doing well, actually. Picking up protectorates, had consolidated my budget after going bankrup t in the 1860s (not least by getting the UK to bankroll me for joining a major war in India), ...

(I wish Imperator had seen this kind of commitment after its lackluster launch :P , but I feel this is more of a personal pet project for Martin which is why it keeps getting this kind of investment :D )

List of known issues.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/known-issues-1-8.1716291/

QuoteKnown issues:
  • All saves of a previous version of the game will not work and may crash due to the changes implemented in game.
  • Due to updated shaders, the game may load a bit longer the first time loading the game.
  • Monterey 12 macOS occasionally freezes after country selection on medium/high settings.
  • When playing on Ironman mode - it is recommended to avoid using the "Save to cloud" option, as the save operation might silently fail if cloud storage is close to full, resulting in loss of progress.
  • When unlocking special production methods (PMs) via certain principles (e.g., transportation III or food standardization), locked PMs may incorrectly display default PMs instead of the special ones.
  • We currently have an issue where custom keybindings may not save correctly when the game is restarted. Additionally, there is currently no option to reset keybindings to their default settings. We understand that this can be frustrating, and we're actively working on a fix for future updates.
  • In Polish localization, characters in event options may incorrectly appear as "subject countries" (Państwo Poddańcze) instead of their actual roles. This issue may affect clarity in some events.
  • If you are playing on Linux, there might be an UI issue when changing screen resolutions.
  • We are working on the issue where soldiers in battle could become invulnerable, preventing combat progression. This issue occurred only in specific scenarios.
  • Currently the stall chance for enacting laws does not account for contributions from radicalized movements, potentially leading to higher actual stall chances than shown. A fix is on the way!
  • If you are playing on macOS, changing the resolution to a lower setting and switching from fullscreen to windowed mode may cause the button click fields to misalign.
  • Sometimes the AI may create numerous tiny armies instead of organizing them into well-structured formations.
  • You may notice exaggerated wind effects on shorter trees; this has been adjusted for the following update.
  • An issue where Power Blocks could invite Revolution nations is also addressed and will roll out soon.
  • You may encounter an issue where foreign-owned buildings do not transfer reinvestment funds properly; a fix is already in development.
  • Currently there are some error messages, we are aware of the issue and actively working on it.
  • A brief UI flicker at the start of the game just before the main menu appears.
  • Investment pools can get blocked in states with low infrastructure, even if other states have sufficient resources. We are aware of this issue and working on it.
  • Progress bar tooltips may be unclear in Sikh Sovereignty Journal Entry, with green numbers indicating negative effects and red numbers indicating positive ones.
  • Unstable Raj Journal Entry will have further design improvements.
  • When hovering over a law to change it or aborting a law change that affects many movements, tooltips and pop-ups may overflow beyond the screen limits.
  • Colonization speed previously included provinces in impassable land, affecting progress calculations. This issue is in progress.
  • An issue where market access was not properly refreshed after state annexation.
  • Historical characters don't have priority in the recruitment selection.
  • There is an issue recurring where ports fail to hire laborers despite significant unemployment in the state, we are on it.
  • You may encounter an issue where port attachments, such as Fishing Wharfs or Shipyards, fail to appear as intended in certain locations (e.g., Quebec, Balasore, and Bandar Lengeh). We are aware of the problem and working on a fix.

9 and 12 can become really annoying, but if this is all, I expected worse. :)

25 sounds bad, because it can really kill trade. And these are the *known* issues. :P

Ah right, missed that one

Some changes that I wasn't aware of before:

Quoteis now possible to add some types of wargoals (such as conquering/returning states) on behalf of subjects that are on your side in a diplomatic play. The infamy is added to the overlord adding the wargoal.
:w00t:

QuoteWhen a revolution ends or a secession is crushed, the pre-civil war capital state is now restored to capital status if it ended up siding with the rebels
(Yay, no more requiring a mod for this!)

QuoteDeaths related to wars are now tracked by culture, and each participant will lose War Support relative to their acceptance status for the cultures of dead pops on both sides (to different degrees). The implication of this is that it will be easier to stay in wars if your country discriminates against the cultures of combatant pops, and harder if you're a very accepting country in a war where either party uses their population as cannon fodder.
:o

QuoteOverlords are now able to support their subjects in a war regardless of their relations level
:w00t:

QuoteCooperative Ownership now only affects collectivization of Manufacturing, Resource Extraction and Power Plant buildings. Collectivization of agriculture, plantations and ranching is fully controlled by the land ownership law instead.

QuotePro and Anti Lobbies now care about the acceptance status of your country's primary cultures in the target country, in addition to the mere presence of the primary culture
:o

QuoteWhen a country changes ruler, if the new ruler already rules another country, a Personal Union is established automatically

QuoteAdded dynamic state and hub names for Eastern Europe
Yay!

QuoteAdded a new game rule, which is turned off by default. The game rule enables the player to set a grace period of 1, 5, or 10 years during which gains of both Radicals and Loyalists start out low and are progressively increased. Players are encouraged to use this game rule to give themselves a more stable political early game.
Radicals and Loyalists from Standard of Living (only) are no longer scaled down by default in the early game, leading to unbalanced changes to Radicals and Loyalists from e.g. events

QuoteIndustry Banned law now decreases Economic Dependence on Overlord, while Extraction Economy law increases it
Nice. :)

QuoteThe Devout is no longer very racist by default
Thank fuck! :bleeding:

QuoteSupport Independence now increases Liberty Desire in the subject country by a small amount each week
:menace:

QuoteEvents triggered by monthly and yearly pulses are now spread out better
Nice, was getting weird getting a gaggle of events every other month or so.

QuoteMade Rubber Rush events appear less often
Good :bleeding:

QuoteThe AI no longer puts extra value on conquering split states when they have a Treaty Port in that state
Hopefully Britain will be less likely to conquer chunks of China?

QuoteMade the Dutch East Indies more inclined to consolidate Indonesia
Made Britain more inclined to consolidate South Africa upon researching Malaria Prevention
The Dutch East Indies will be more aggressive towards Indonesian minor nations
Good

QuoteBankroll and Fund Lobbies money transfer amounts are now capped at 10% of the sender's income
Nice. I'm chronic bankroller. :D

QuoteWages for more accepted Pops are now higher under more discriminatory laws, and wages for less accepted Pops are lower, meaning that becoming more tolerant will overall flatten wages and result in reduced Standard of Living for your primary culture/religion pops
Uh oh.

QuoteCharity Hospitals and Religious Schools will now provide their respective institutions at a 20% Bureaucracy discount
Private Healthcare and Private Schools will now provide their respective institution at a 40% Bureaucracy discount
Well, that makes them much more attractive all of a sudden. :hmm:

QuoteCommanders can now only be retired after they have served for at least a year
Commanders can now only be picked as Interest Group Leaders after they have served for at least 10 years
Good but <_< :P

QuoteThe 'Force Nationalization' wargoal now costs much less infamy to add
Nice. Was quite prohibitive before.

QuoteDecreased the Oil input for the "Automobile Production" PM from 20 to 10, increased the Automobile output from 25 to 30
:w00t:

And probably more I missed. :P

Hah, nice, once it becomes playable after a couple of hotfixes, this is going to be a great patch. :P

But obviously I am going to run my standard Austria game to check out the new politics stuff.
