So, after the events of today, what do you guys think will happen (and succeed) first to kick the orange one from the White House? Impeachment? Invocation of the 25th amendment? Shit will keep happening until the 20th? Something else? Or is this the beginning of the Trumpocracy?

I did a separate thread in order not to clutter the other one and because I wanted to have a poll.  :P

The GOP will still try to appeal to Trumpists.

Not till the 20th and still saying he was robbed of victory.

I hope not the 25th. He'll be able to claim insanity later.

At this point I wouldn't mind him going out like Tony Montana.

There will be a second set of articles of impeachment drawn up. Then we will see.

On January 20th, he will lock himself in his office, and as an angry mob of Democrat voters storm the White House, he will commit suicide with his weapon. ;)

Nah.

He will leave by himself, once he sees a majority of Republicans, including Pence, pushing him out.  However, he will keep making trouble until the very end, most likely even after, and then he will leave the country, at least for a while, wait if there are any indictments against him before returning.

Impeachment takes to long and I doubt they can get the votes to oust him via the 25th.  He'll leave the normal way.

Can impeachment be fast-tracked, if there is a will?  Let's say that Trump came out and said that there was no election fraud, and now all the Trumptards call him a RINO and call for his impeachment.  Can they finish all the proceedings in a day if they wanted to, or are there minimum statutory delays?

Hell lock himself in the Oval Office and refuse to leave. The police and secret service won't do anything because Trump is a white male.

He won't leave until the Secret Service walks him out. He will then claim that he was waiting for a security detail because of everyone who hates Amerika.

I just realized that I didn't include the possibility of resignation, but of course that's not going to happen.

He left the presidency three or four years ago, he's just been occupying the white house when not on a golf course or at an ego-boosting victory rally.

I don't think he'll want videos of him being escorted, lifted or dragged out of the White House.  He'll leave on his own.  Probably a few hours or a day before 20 January.  Of course, he'll make some big statements.

I think he needs to be impeached or removed through the 25th now. He shouldn't have pardon powers. He shouldn't have a platform which he always will while he's President. He shouldn't still be able to give order to the military and in a position to force them to make a choice of whether to follow them or not.

After today I think if he's allowed to carry on until the 20th it's basically a risk decision by Congressional Republicans that he won't do anything else - and I'm not sure what you can really base that on.

But I think he probably will stay in office until the 20th - he won't participate in the inauguration or be able to allow Biden the spotlight, I'm not sure what he'll do though.

Not enough time to impeach him even with the party starting to be reasonable. Hopefully he faces charges once out of office though.
I am really curious what will happen on transition day. I have an image of him being very literally evicted.

Part of me wonders if he'll do a rally at the same time :hmm:
