I'm looking for games I can play online with my six-year-old niece. She lives in a different city and a different province, so it have to be a game that we could both play online remotely.

Anyone have any ideas?

Roblox.

My 9 year old is addicted to it in this pandemic environment.

Otherwise, yes, Minecraft.

You could get Tabletop Simulator for both of you on Steam (currently on sale) and play various board, card, etc. games there. There's a wide variety if you check out the Steam Workshop for the game.

This does not sound like something a 6 year old would play.

I don't even like it, but I will re-iterate: Roblox.

Probably Roblox, my 6 and 8 year old nephews are constantly talking about it. They love watching mine craft videos but can't/don't play it.

You can buy a Minecraft Realm for about $10 or so. It's a simple, bombproof minecraft server essentially, hosted by Mojang, the game maker. You and your niece can play together on there, it has room for 20 players.
