Not here. My building has an inner courtyard but that's all stone and a tree, and certainly not inviting to sit outside.

So with vaccinations starting to really ramp up, and most places in the US offering adults vaccines, we are talking about what we should do with the office at work.

It is currently costing us about $70,000/year for the space. We don't really use it at all right now.

Nobody really wants to go back to being in the office full time, but most people do want to go back to some kind of office environment.

But several employees have stated that if they go back to the office, they want to be assured that everyone else in the office has been vaccinated.

This is something of a problem. Our management position is

1. If you do not want to get vaccinated, that is your business. But if that is the case, please continue to work from home.
2. If you want to come into the office, only do so if you are comfortable with whatever reality that exists.
3. We cannot, legally, ask anyone if they have been vaccinated, so far as I am aware. HIPAA laws still prohibit that.

So how can we even tell anyone that everyone else in the office has been vaccinated? We can tell people to not come in if they have not, but we cannot actually check, or even ask, so far as I know. So how can I tell employee A that employee B has or has not been vaccinated? All I can say is that we have asked people to not come in if they are not vaccinated...but I can't stop anyone from pretty much doing whatever they like.

Try to avoid focusing on vaccinations, rather assume that everyone, even if vaccinated, is a potential carrier and follow your local health guidelines as to what protocols you should put in place.  We have a long way to go before we approach herd immunity.  That is when the protocols won't be needed, and of course the concerns being expressed won't be relevant.
