Tamas just said it was because he hates having to scroll past the long AR debates.

I missed it because I just started ignoring Tamas.  :P

I've been doing it for years and it has been divine.

That's not an answer to my question.  I fully understand the benefits to myself of me ignoring other posters.  There are posters I ignore.

My question was what you get out of others ignoring them.

Is your life better because Tamas ignores Fredo?  Is Tamas' life better because you do?

Yes, my life has immeasurably improved since Tamas started ignoring Fredo.  I have much energy and fewer aches and pains.  The only downside is that I have too much energy.  I'm fucking wired. I had a four hour erection last night!
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Round about the same time my uncle got into the hospital, the daughter of a family friend also was hospitalised. Unlike my uncle, her condition kept deteriorating and she passed away yesterday. :( she was only a few years older than me.

In other news, looks like my brother is out of ICU. Still in hospital, but breathing without a ventilator :)

Well that's encouraging.

Great news
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Alberta's going into our hardest lockdown since spring 2020.

All schools online-only for two weeks.  Restaurant patios closed.  Hair salons etc. closed.
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Tyrol is back in the Covid-News.

So November last year they suddenly and without calling for tenders signed a contract with a newly founded Covid testing company for 8 million that would go on to take over half the tests in the state.

The company is run by a Vienna urologist (not virologist) who is currently mired in multiple malpractice and fraud law suits. Journalists noted that he's well connected with the political-economic scene in Tyrol and that nobody can say who is actually adjudging the tests they run - a large number gave false results (mostly false positives), and the company refuses to say. It can't be the urologist because he lacks the certification.

State government and company claim that there have been multiple quality controls by:
- University of Innsbruck (not true, it was a university employee who runs a side business of quality control separate from his uni jobs, and there's long been questions about him certifying friends and solvent business partners regardless of actual quality)
- the Innsbruck General Hospital (who deny these claims)
- an independent quality control company who has a standing policy of not talking to the media

Yesterday the economic minister for Tyrol resigned without warning and without giving any reasons. The health minister for Tyrol followed within hours, also without warning or reasons.

Hopefully, it will work. Your per capita rate is ridiculous.
