To be fair they're not alone in that, the previous Royal Welsh goat's retirement do:

Cummings is now running late to his own press conference and may well actually run over and clash with the official government covid-19 briefing. Which is a weirdly appropriate situation

Edit: This is particularly stupid because they announced it would be at 4. If you delay a normal press conference you will piss off journalists. If you delay a press conference that the broadcasters have cleared their schedules to show you will be late and disrupting Antiques Roadshow. Which is really going to piss people off.

Edit: It's started now. He's at a desk in the garden (?) and there's a really weird background noise going off repeatedly
Let's bomb Russia!

Which is extraordinary given the uniforms

In the words of the poet :

"Young man, there's no need to feel down..." etc etc

The Brain

Did Tom of Finland design the uniforms?
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Sorry Sheilbh, they are already taken.  :P
They are the (Bride)Grooms of Death (Novios de la Muerte).
Muerte being feminine.  :D

PS: clarification, just in case. ;)

Not even a Francoist flag?

Can do better than that.

Dude with a carlist cap waving the Sacred Heart flag of Spain. Doesn't get more old-school far right than that. He might as well be riding a horse cart.

Amazing

I saw one lad out with the Carlist flag too. Nice to see they're still a going concern on the Spanish right.

Not good enough, reactionary maybe but pro-autonomies, so still under a rip-off of German slogan and motive.  :P
I see Sacred Heart flags as a bit passé as well:

PS: OTOH, White is for the king in the French flag.  :P

That's not the Carlist flag per se, but the Burgundy Cross one, which Carlists adopted. Nowadays it's more of a generic far right symbol than necessarily Carlist (which is a really minoritary group), which is a damn shame as it's a historical flag of the country and part of the arms of many military units and, until the current King, part of the arms of the King of Spain as well.

Legbiter

Bah, Carlists. Bring back the Visigothic royal line.

Spain really has an enviable number of politically charged national flags - all the variations on the Republican flags too.

All our national flags are really boring by comparison :(

I saw a a tweet this morning with a compilation, there were easily 15 or so.

We're even seeing a revival and mash ups of some of the weird historical ones, like this one with the modern colours but with a version of Charles the Ist arms on it, two headed eagle and everything.
