Yes that's pretty dramatic.

Meanwhile here we had some rather extreme rain in the week, which set the river levels up to a new record high, so I would have been flooded out but for the defences and the large pump outside working.

The lake is only 1.5m deep on average, the shorelines tend to fluctuate a lot. But the current situation is pretty bleak, regardless.

Yeah, most municipality build boating lakes are that deep.
