Participated in a Military Funeral Detail today. I didn't know the deceased, but still a very sobering business. I've been to several memorial services before but never an all-out funeral service. The playing of taps and the report of the rifles always gets to me, and this time was no different. I ended up proffering the flag to someone and driving a two-star up and down St. Louis.
Poor mother went into hysterics when the coffin was being lowered into the ground. Kid was only 19.  :(

Don't know what else to say.

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Never a good thing when people die that young.
