The Minsky Moment

I believe there are several Colonels named Albert or Alphonse etc. who may be up for promotion in the next 10 years.

So I vote General Al.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Quote from: Jacob on April 16, 2025, 12:18:20 PMWhat will come first?

  • Tesla full self-driving delivering on all the things Musk says (safer than human drivers, faster than human drivers, robo-taxi funtcionality.
  • Cold fusion.
  • General AI.

All of them seem to be perpetually "just a few years away".

I thought "hot fusion", which still seems decades away, was far more likely than cold fusion which is still scientifically dubious?
Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Zanza

Unlike AGI and controlled fusion, there are self-driving cars. Just not from Tesla.

The Nazis were, indeed, keen on building rockets and missiles. They developed the first mass-produced versions of both.

I hear their workforce was pretty much like Amazon's, as well.

Elon was using the dm feature asking women if they wanted to be impregnated...

This is one more thing you might want to teach your kids in tne modern world.  If they're boys, wrong pick up line.  if they're girls, do not accept impregnation offer from weird billionaires online.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Ironically this smart move will probably tank the stock.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

True. Tesla reported a disastrous quarter of sales and it's stock went up. So clearly it is opposite day for investors whenever it comes to this company.

Tesla has been the Elon Musk Stock for who knows how many years now.

Zanza

Last quarter, Tesla only made money from regulatory credits, but lost money on selling cars. Regulatory credits are uncertain considering the Republican being opposed to them on principle.

Supposedly due to switching the Model Y production to the newest model globally. Their announced low cost model for 2025 has not been spotted anywhere yet and no specs are known. Let's see if it actually materializes and is more than a basic trim Model Y with some removed features.

All the future products like Semi, Roadster, Optimus, robotaxi, etc. are rather uncertain or competition seems ahead of them.

Will be a tough job for a new CEO to guide it back to a success path.

The Minsky Moment

We celebrated our own personal Tesla liberation day.
