I am getting pretty tired of the United States and its bullshit...which is unfortunate since I live here.
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Grey Fox

Getting ready to make IEDs against American Occupation Forces.

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

I get that.
And I really sympathise with you and other American posters. I wonder how much this will damage the already frail relationship between the elected and the electorate.

I noticed Hegseth was lambasting the media for being unpatriotic again. That means he does not want media, just propaganda.

Another reminder of why it would be best to avoid travelling to the United States

QuoteAn 85-year-old Frenchwoman who spent 16 days in American immigration detention returned to France on Friday.

Jean-Noël Barrot, the French foreign affairs minister, announced the return of the woman, Marie-Thérèse Ross-Mahé, to reporters on Friday morning, saying "there were acts of violence" in her case that concerned the French government.

"The main thing is that she is back in France, and that is fully satisfying to us," he said.

Ms. Ross-Mahé was greeted at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport by her three adult children. She was still dressed in her prison wear — orange shoes, sweatpants and a gray sweater, covered in stains and holes, according to one of her sons. She was in a state of shock, and was physically and spiritually exhausted after the ordeal.

Ms. Ross-Mahé is a French citizen who moved to Anniston, Ala., last year after marrying a former American G.I. named Bill Ross whom she had met decades before, when they were both teenagers working at a NATO base in western France. They had kept in touch for years, and after both were widowed a long-distance romance was sparked.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

He worked in a propaganda factory masquerading as a media outlet so no surprise he can't tell the difference.
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

True enough. When even courts say FoxNews is not really factual and has no power to insult or injure, that is kind of a low.

I suppose they do good weather reports.

She is lucky she has a government strong enough to save her.

I do question the idea that one of their citizens being abused is "fully satisfactory" simply because we graciously allowed her to be released back into France.

Also how blissfully ignorant do you have to be to move to the United States in 2025? I hope the European media picks up on this story and helps ensure nobody else in Europe does something this reckless.

Yeah I actually want the full backstory of her and that GI meeting when they were teenagers on a NATO base in France (so presumably pre-de Gaulle) and staying in touch for 60 years and getting together once they're widowed. It sounds like a novel.

Right up until her step son called ICE on her.
