So basically like Mexico embroiled in its civil war with cartels?  :P

HVC

I mean maybe Mexico could stand to be a bit more authoritarian in that regard :P
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

All hail Salazar!

:P

More so having cartels so in the open seems less than ideal. But then again when you have the number one buyer next door things are difficult.

Not a true one, but it will have to do for you, I guess.  :P

That's the small price to pay for living so close to ™freedom™.  :D

The Brain

Freedom, freedom, who the fuck is freedom?
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

The Minsky Moment

We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Tonitrus

Hard to invoke when half the cabinet is equally/more nutty.

Free American airwaves?

It does have a little bit of that famous Hitler bunker scene about it.

I have no doubt that if the American people vote against Trump in the upcoming midterms he will want to punish them.

In the Immortal words of the Spartan ephors, "If" . I'm not so sure. Less sure about they'll even vote against his successor (if he doesn't choose to run himself). After all the surge in gas prices and cost of living is all the democrats fault

Iran are good at media manipulation now?

They have a better football team than the United States.

I suppose Trump was reacting to the social media post with Legos.

The Minsky Moment

The head of enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission - appointed to the job in Sept. 2025 - abruptly resigned today.  She was a former judge with a good reputation.  Last month she gave a speech outlining enforcement priorities as "accounting fraud, insider trading, wash trading, and market manipulation schemes."

No explanation given for the resignation.

Her unexplained resignation probably has nothing all to do with the accusations of insider trading and market manipulation swirling around Trump's people. . .
