The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Trump's new country club the so-called Board for Peace was launched today at the WEF.

So many Muslims. Israel must be thrilled.

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

Netanyahu worked hard to help get Trump elected so serves him right.

But if I was a Palestinian I wouldn't find that list of brave peacemakers encouraging.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Ajerbajan didn't get a seat? Was that because of their war with Albania?

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

The list says a lot about how the US views its place in the world.

A line in the book "Putin's People" still lingers on my mind. It was a comment from a source after telling the story of how Trump got financial backing after his bankruptcy. The money was from someone "no strings attached", but clearly with strings attached, as it supposedly came from the old KGB funds stowed away after 1987 around the world.

"Donald doesn't do due diligence". And that, indeed, seems to be proven again and again.

By the way, "Putin's People" does not pin "asset" to Trump, but does say that the KGB in the 80s certainly thought they had an asset in Trump.
