Whenever I hear about these 20 and 28 point peace plans I can't help but think of Clemenceau's response on hearing of Wilson's 14 points : "The good Lord had only ten!" (Le bon Dieu n'en avait que dix !).

Many people are saying that Trump's peace plans have bigger and better points than Woodrow Wilson's, in fact the best points.

It all seems a little too convenient for me. I hate to get all  , but right when a judge orders the Guard out of DC within 21 days and amidst Trump and co. looking to up the anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim narrative again, we end up with this?

Not sure it matters much at this point? They'll be stripped of citizenship and sent to a distant country before the courts can react.

A person is subject to revocation of naturalization if the person becomes a member of, or affiliated with, the Communist party, other totalitarian party, or terrorist organization within five years of his or her naturalization.[6] In general, a person who is involved with such organizations cannot establish the naturalization requirements of having an attachment to the Constitution and of being well-disposed to the good order and happiness of the United States.[7]

The fact that a person becomes involved with such an organization within five years after the date of naturalization is prima facie evidence that he or she concealed or willfully misrepresented material evidence that would have prevented the person's naturalization.

They'll just add random organizations to the list and random lengths of time post-naturalization. See Abrego Garcia. But just as Syt said, it doesn't really matter if it's legal anymore. They just do it.

Heh, over here it's constitutionally forbidden to strip anybody of Spanish citizenship. Because, you know, it's a thing that our previous authoritarian regime did to Republican exilees. "There are no Spaniards outside of Spain" was the official line.

Keeping refugees out of the country is a beautiful way to celebrate the true meaning of Thanksgiving.   


 

(Yes, I realize that the Pilgrims didn't actually come to Plymouth to escape religious intolerance (they were more trying to escape religious tolerance in the Netherlands) and that not everyone who sailed on the Mayflower was a puritan.  MAGA, as near as I understand them, accepts a mythological view of history and yesterday should have been a day for them to celebrate tolerance and refugees; they could go back to hating those things today.)

Always strikes me odd that the government bangs on about Christian values and completely ignores e.g. Matthew 25:
