When will most of the significant results be known, most likely?

Quote from: DGuller on November 04, 2025, 05:57:40 PMDid my part this evening.  The choice for NJ governor was obvious, of course, but Jersey City mayor proved tougher.  Eventually I realized that the Democrat Reddit hates the most is probably the one I would find most fitting, so I voted for the disgraced ex-governor, the one on my side of the Hudson.

Voting by contrarianism seems like a novel approach

Virginia polls close at 7PM EDT, New Jersey at 8PM, NYC at 9PM, California at 11PM.  NYC and Virginia are expected to be significant Democratic victories, so I'm guessing we'll know within a couple hours of close.  New Jersey is looking to be tight, so maybe late tonight, maybe not until tomorrow morning.  Not sure about California, but considering how late the polls close I probably won't even be up for the initial results. :P

Not sure how sharing works with live update pages, but here's the Times coverage.

Guy shouldn't be Mayor, but he is an amusing kook.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Looks like many have called Dem wins in all the east coast races.

So much for suspense, everything seems to have cleared up immediately.  I'm glad the NJ governor race stayed as uneventful as polls promised, I was getting really worried at times.

Full victory for Dem candidates, as far as I can tell?

So now the GOP knows they cannot allow honest elections anymore.
