Post office police?
I did not foresee the Post Office as Trump's main Act 3 (hopefully) antagonist.

But Shakespeare uses five acts.
 Fair. Victorians and up to the 50s plays definitely have three acts.

Also I'm not sure Trump really deserves the grandeur of Shakespearean tragedy :P

Defund the police, use their funds to fully fund the US postal inspector!
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Are those bullet proof vests?

I am glad the US is not a dysfunctional country, because the sight of postal inspectors having to dress to kill would sure fool me.

It does freak me out how seemingly every single Federal institution has a law enforcement wing, each one with their own SWAT team.

Post Office, Parks, Forest Service all, for some reason, need their own police force

From Wikipedia:

QuoteIn 2008, federal police employed approximately 120,000 full-time law enforcement officers, authorized to make arrests and carry firearms in the United States.[98]

The 2012 Bureau of Justice Statistics' Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies (CSLLEA), found there were 17,985 state and local law enforcement agencies employing at least one full-time officer or the equivalent in part-time officers.[99]

In 2008, state and local law enforcement agencies employed more than 1.1 million people on a full-time basis, including about 765,000 sworn personnel (defined as those with general arrest powers). Agencies also employed approximately 100,000 part-time employees, including 44,000 sworn officers.

IIRC Spain has the largest ratio of police officers/population in all of Western Europe & NA.  :P

We don't have nearly the same amount of independent police forces though.

The Mail is a serious business mister. Don't forget that.

In Babylon 5, after the station secedes from EarthGov, Garibaldi tries to break into the post office with the help of a security officer because a delivery from Earth is held up due to extra fees.

Michael Garibaldi: What are you so nervous about? We went up against the entire Earth Alliance and two carrier groups.

Security Officer: Yeah, but this is the post office. This could get us in real trouble.
