Again, current Republican web of talking points designed (and endlessly repeated) to strengthen core identity. They're not racists (they are the least racist people you know), it's the Democrats who are the real racists. They engage in reverse racism. Did you know it was the Southern Democrats who were racists? And that the Klan was a majority Democrat institution?

I don't know the details about congresswomen's ancestry, but two of Trumps grandparents weren't even Americans and the other two I think arrived in their late childhood/early adulthood.

Where as I wouldn't be surprised if the black congresswoman's ancestors spent considerably longer in the US and further back too.

The difference in his 'perception' is one of whiteness / white nationalism.
