QuoteKremlin says Trump, Putin will meet briefly in Paris, contradicting Trump

President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet briefly in Paris amid the city's annual celebration of Armistice Day, a Kremlin spokesman told Reuters on Tuesday.

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov's comments come after Trump told reporters on Monday that he would probably not meet with his Russian counterpart while the two are in Paris, and instead delay a meeting until they join other world leaders for the Group of 20 (G-20) summit in Argentina.

"We haven't set anything up yet. We don't know that that's going to be the right place. I'm going to be in Paris for other reasons, but we will be meeting at the G-20 and probably will have meetings after that," Trump told reporters on Monday while boarding Air Force One for a campaign rally.

"Getting along with Russia, China and all of them would be a good thing. I've said it for a long time. So, we'll have plenty of meetings, but I'm not sure that we'll have a meeting in Paris," he added. "Probably not."

Trump had previously been expected to meet with Putin in Paris. U.S. national security adviser John Bolton last month raised the prospect of a November meeting between the two leaders after speaking with Putin.

"I said yes, in fact, that President Trump would look forward to meeting with him in Paris," Bolton said at the time.

Trump's Paris meeting with Putin would be his first since the two hosted a bilateral summit in Helsinki earlier this year, after which Trump made headlines by appearing to agree with the Russian leader's denial of election interference over his own intelligence agencies' assessment.

The two are expected to discuss several key issues, including the U.S. withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty with Russia, at their next meeting.

Makes sense that he needs to report in after the election.

I've noticed more and more Trump supporters are qualifying their support with yeah he's a dirtbag but...

Sessions is out.

I figured he'd be out by Thanksgiving.  I'm a bit surprised he was kicked out in under 24 hours since the last election ended.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

And more gloriously so is anti-science conspiracy theorist John Culberson. Good riddance.

I don't think Trump is even capable of a 'will no one rid me of this troublesome priest' moment, he'll just straight out ask someone to wack Meuller:

According to NBC News, Voters Nationwide Disapprove of the so-called Mueller Investigation (46%) more than they Approve (41%). You mean they are finally beginning to understand what a disgusting Witch Hunt, led by 17 Angry Democrats, is all about!

Bye bye Mueller.

I wonder if they'll leak whatever draft reports have been written before he gets canned this weekend.

That Mueller probe approval number really crushed me when I first saw it, but I'm wondering how much of that is Democrats disapproving because it's not aggressive enough.

Wasn't there talk he might release the report this week?
