I don't think he's to blame for Turkish political insanity.

Imagine that

QuoteBut the documents also showed that about 82% of the total paid to the Internal Revenue Service that year by Trump and his wife, Melania, was incurred due to a tax that Trump has said should be abolished.

The "alternative minimum tax" (AMT), which was introduced to ensure the mega wealthy pay a fairer share of tax, comprised $31m of Trump's tax bill compared to $5.3m in regular federal income tax. In the run-up to November's election, Trump pledged to eliminate the AMT altogether, meaning the president campaigned for a change in the tax law that would have benefited him.

He'd never leak a return that showed him only making $150 million. He'd leak his best year and then say it was one of his worst.

Of course he would leak it.  Especially the day before the FBI Director is going to the Hill to explain whether or not Trump Tower is drowning in Russians.

I don't like news organizations publishing someone's tax return without their permission. What did we learn that was worth violating Trump's privacy? How is this newsworthy?

Still trying to understand what Madcow thought she'd accomplish with this.

Ratings, which she probably did.

Oh, I'm sure.  Hope it's worth decreased ratings in subsequent shows, plus all the shit she's taking on Twitter-- and even from MSNBC's sister station:

I have never heard of her before until this fracas. So I bet she's increased her exposure. Let's not forget that in the great scheme of things news networks' ratings are tiny, sadly becoming controversial enough is a way of securing your long-term future as a talking head, if not necessarily your prestige as journalist.

But yeah, the whole thing was complete non-news, and the backlash well deserved.

Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!

Really? The point where you draw the line on privacy is tax returns?
