With the increased defense budget, maybe the idea is to replace contractors with platoons of Army soldiers or Marines? :P

QuoteTrump pitches 37 percent cut to State Department budget

The Trump administration is proposing a 37 percent spending cut for the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development budget, according to multiple reports.

U.S. officials say the suggested decrease would likely require staff reductions, including security contractors at diplomatic facilities overseas, The Associated Press said Tuesday.

It is almost like Benghazi didn't matter. :(

Not a cent will be cut from staff protection; there'll just be no diplomats for the guards to defend.

The diplomats will all be replaced by tweets.

Didn't work so well in Lebanon.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Then why not just eat pork, since it's significantly cheaper?

If you can't make a taste difference between pork and beef, you ought to lay off the infected half-cooked beef for a while. :P

At well done, you might as well just have a hamburger. At least that'll be juicy.

And significantly easier to chew.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

I can tell the difference. Viper's the one who said they were basically the same.

In other news, it turns out that the responsibility for ordering the botched raid in Yemen, resulting in the deaths of a US Navy Seal and a number of women and children as well as, presumably some adult male Yeminis, belongs to "them" - the US military - and not Donald Trump.

QuoteAsked about the matter during an interview with Fox News' "Fox 'n' Friends," Trump repeatedly said "they" were responsible for the outcome of the mission, in reference to the military.

"This was a mission that was started before I got here. This was something they wanted to do," he said. "They came to me, they explained what they wanted to do ― the generals ― who are very respected, my generals are the most respected that we've had in many decades, I believe. And they lost Ryan.

I respect them too much for everything not to be their fault.

Get better quality steaks then.
Sometimes, I do.  But at 10$-15$ a steak, I can't afford to have that for my everyday meal.

the price difference for regular cut in the grocery store isn't that much.  They're nearly identical in price, for a cheap quality steak.

The underlings always taking the blame for a bad plan's failure.  Hmm, I think I remember some movie about that, with phantom divisions and all... ;)
