I think he's far more willing to use nukes than any other president since 1945.

But really - who is he going to nuke?

ISIS

Will he actually try to throw Hillary in prison?

I think the one constant in this thread is that, with Trump, YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT HE WILL DO.

He'll make an effort to try.  Appoint a special prosecutor or something.

Which is pretty disgraceful in and of itself.

The Minsky Moment

Saw some piece fretting about the Democrats not having "contingency plans" for a Trump win, which made me chuckle.  Donald Trump doesn't know what Donald Trump is going do.  There is no planning for this.  Jeff Sessions, who is a pretty marginal figure, is being mentioned as a transition manager given Christie's problems.  But he is not there to be a strong personality, just the opposite.  Some very eyebrow-raising cabinet speculation pre-election (Gingrich for State?!).

Start flipping coins.

Yeah, I'm sure Trump is actually fairly shocked at the results, too.

Actually, maybe not.  He kind of lives in a fantasy world.

So, do you think he'll really use nuclear weapons?

No. Military will refuse.

The system is designed for a sane man. The President orders a general/admiral who orders the base commander/sub captain who orders their men. The men routinely do drills where they don't know if they're putting in real launch codes or not, so they're not going to stop it. So the order only goes through two other men.

I'd bet otherwise - it will drop.  Tomorrow HRC will be yesterday's news and Trump combines extraordinary topical media savvy with the attention span of a 2 year old.

You guys really need to read up on your Pence.  He's going to be making a lot of policy decisions, and running the EOP on a day-to-day basis.

I think best case someone distracts him with shiny keys for 4 years while establishment Republicans somehow secretly control things.

I hope you're right.  Mike Pence impressed me a lot during the campaign.

I know you didn't mean to encourage me, but, well, there you have it.

Personally, I don't think Trump let's anyone make decisions besides Trump.
