What does a TRUMP presidency look like?

The Assange charge is interesting, I honestly thought the Justice Department had basically given up on prosecuting him, because I think it's a very hard case to make. I'm okay with him being prosecuted though because he's a shitbag and it just means he has to live in his small Ecuadorean embassy room forever now.

What's funny is if he had met with Swedish authorities years ago I think he could've left Britain for more comfortable confines in a country that doesn't extradite to the United States and he would've been fine, because I really don't think the Obama DoJ was ever going to prosecute. I think the new admin took the case and decided to pull the trigger, and Obama had quietly decided not to do so.

It's good to know that we can safely say that the Trump administration has done one, singular positive thing.
"If you think this has a happy ending, then you haven't been paying attention."

Yi just ejaculated.

Nah;  shutting down the government doesn't maximize profits by eliminating costs, like jobs.  But keeping me from earning my shitty little living, on top of trying to take away my healthcare?  derniggerhater ejaculated like a Birmingham Police fire hose.

Really, really getting fed up with this bullshit.

Experts say it's 50/50 the government will shut down next week

It is indeed astonishing that I hear this kind of news almost periodically.  One would imagine that shutting down a government is a heavy decision that isn't taken lightly, and that the legislative and executive arms of all responsible governments do everything they can to avoid such a scenario.

The Justice Department official who is leading the government's investigation into potential collusion between President Donald Trump's campaign and the Russian government will step down next month.

Mary McCord, who has served as acting assistant attorney general for national security since October, informed DOJ employees this week that she will be leaving in mid-May, a spokesman confirmed to POLITICO.

That's what happens when the country is virtually in a state of cold civil war.

When one party wants to destroy government, obstructing it is the easy part.

I mean, when the government's budget guys says--

Quote"I think the government, if you measure it in terms of the dollars out the door, about 83 percent of the government stays open in a government shutdown," Mulvaney said. "Social Security checks go out, military still exists. The FBI still chases bad guys. I think the consequences have been blown out of proportion."

Before we had shutdowns over Republican and Democrat disagreements regarding spending. But now Republicans control everything. Wtf.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

It's a little bit like the fillibuster.  They've rigged the game so that no one really feels any pain from a shutdown.  Therefore the costs of initiating one are reduced.

I think Seedy is the only poster here who is a non-military employee of the US Federal government, so, yeah, all the rest of us aren't going to have any change in our pay status due to a shutdown.
